Songs
These are songs I have written. They are all Christian songs. You can click on a song's title to go to that song's page, where there is a link to a full-length audio clip of that song, as well as the song's lyrics.
My God
I wrote this song while going through my journal, being reminded of the horrible things I used to do, thinking to myself, "It doesn't matter what kind of past you've had. It doesn't matter whether you've been good or bad. God can still forgive your sins and take away the pain, renew your life and show His love again." This song is actually directed to the unbeliever, however, since your sins - past, present and future - are forgiven if you are saved. It was as if mid-thought I knew those words would be part of a song and could be directed to someone who isn't saved.
In Thee, O Lord
A song telling of how circumstances may at times be bad - we may be struggling, afraid, and sad, even thinking we've lost our salvation (which, if you've been saved, cannot happen - our salvation is secure in Christ and sealed with the Holy Spirit - but at times we may think this, and the devil loves it when we do) - but still in these times we can trust in God, who is more than able to help us.
I Need Your Help Again
This was one of the first songs I wrote. It's a song asking God for help, for He is capable. I don't remember completely the time when I wrote this song, but it seems to me I wrote it in a time when I wasn't feeling good, and I wanted God's help. I think it would be safe to say that whatever it was that was bothering me, God helped me through it in His great love. The third verse was actually added later.
You Are The Light
This place we live in is a world of shadows and darkness, corrupted because of sin. Yet God is the Light in this dark world, and He has provided salvation to those who simply trust in Him and what He's done (that is, His death on the cross as a payment for our sins, burial, and resurrection for our justification) for it; and one day, He will remove the curse from this world, making it like it was before.
Thank You, Lord
This is a song of thanks to the Lord. He is so wonderful to me that I often sang portions of this song before it was complete. It is truly amazing what great works God has done in my life! He's gotten me through the hardest circumstances and led me to places I never thought I'd be in, many times taking me out of my comfort zone to do what He wants. In those hard times, I can praise Him, for He is faithful and loving and cares deeply for me!
Children of God
A song telling of various ways in which those of us who are saved are different from the world because we are the children of God. We're each made new in Christ by God's great power and love the moment we are saved. He has given us a new nature. Yes, we still mess up now and then, but we are no longer enemies of God - instead, we are a part of His family, and He loves us like a great loving Father. |
